1994 Shopper & Homeowner Study

This study was fielded in October 1994 and asked recent home buyers and shoppers what was important for them to have in the community where they would buy their home. The study was presented at the Master Planned Community 2000 conference at Bally's in Las Vegas April 3/4 and the Annual ULI Conference in San Antonio on May 11/12 1995. The price of this report is $100.

The complete study includes the following:

  • the list of community features by their percents of importance
  • the list of the community features for each market type with their percents of importance
  • the list of community features for each community type with their percents of importance
  • along with what we consider one of our most important findings - how much more these buyers and shoppers would be willing to pay for each of these community types versus $0 base for a bare tract subdivision.
